Enzo Biochem Begins Mid-Stage Clinical Trial for Experimental Crohn's Disease Drug
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (AP) -- Enzo Biochem Inc., a developer of technologies to block disease-causing genes, said Tuesday its Enzo Therapeutics unit started a mid-stage clinical trial to test an experimental drug for the treatment of Crohn's disease.
The company said it is currently enrolling the Phase II trial for its drug candidate EGS21 following a successful safety trial for the drug last year.
