Thanks For The Questions!
Wow, Crohnees from all around the world submitted well over 200 questions! We’re working hard to group the questions and organize them. Here’s the ONLY thing though, some of the questions were very “medical related.”
Please know that we can’t give any specific medical advice, we’re not doctors and all medication related specific advice should most definitely be addressed with your doctor (if you’re having a flare-up, PLEASE go see your doctor right away – a few of you are saying that you are avoiding the doctor, please don’t!)
New Crohn’s Guide I Found…
I was cruising around the internet and found a book about Crohn’s Disease that sounded interesting so I bought it. Now, I have to say that the page where the sell the book probably made a few claims that are not in the book, but overall, it was a quick and educational read.

Also, if you buy, CrohnsHelp does make a small commission which we look at as a donation (help me cover the large costs we are accumulating for running/building/maintaining this website).

New Change On The Blog
Just 5 minutes ago, we officially pulled the plug on our last blog and have started a new one that you can see at:
Crohn’s Disease Blog
This blog is just much better in many ways. The content is the same and of course we will continue to update it as often as we can.
What’s also very neat is that we can split the posts up into category so that now you can navigate through the blog based on categories and not just the entire blog itself.

$4 Million Gift Helps Create New Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Inspirational proof that the word about Crohn’s Disease and other IBD is really starting to get out now!
“On Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center celebrated the opening of the Jill Roberts Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Made possible through a $4 million gift from Jill Roberts, a long-standing friend and patron of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Medical College of Cornell University…”
More and more money is starting to get raised to help research, even though President Bush decreased the Federal funding not long ago:

Can You Believe It? An NFL Quarterback with Crohn's Disease!
In a recent article I read about how unsupportive the general public can be about Crohn’s Disease and how many choose to just make fun of our symptoms rather than help, I found an interesting article where I learned something amazing:
A quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, David Garrard, has Crohn’s Disease - wow! A Crohnee made the NFL - that (for some odd reason) actually made me feel very good.
David talks about how even his fellow football players tend to make fun of him and don’t really understand the disease.
Let’s face it, it’ll never be “dinner conversation” – telling someone how much blood you just had in your stool doesn’t make for a great meal. However, still, Crohnees need to keep coming together to raise awareness.

Alright that’s it for now, but please keep coming back to CrohnsHelp.com, we’re making a LOT of changes almost daily. Keep giving us your feedback and we’ll keep improving the site the best we can.
Wishing you the best of health…
