Aziathioprine is an immuno-suppressant i believe - they keep referring to it as the crohns wonder drug at the mo and to be fair it seems to be working for me at mo so fingers crossed!
I have been off the steroids for a while now - since about april? I was on budesonide steroid which is meant to have less side effects supposedly but dunno if that is true or not!
How are you coping generally day to day? I still have down days - finding it hard to meet a guy who it doesnt bother - they say it doesnt but when I need to talk about it or get sick they run a mile!!!

day-to-day im alright: most days i get up and on with it but of course its not always that easy  been really tired lately but hoping that will stop with new meds 
as for the whole having a boyfriend thing - im in the same boat. The guy i'm interested in would probably run a mile if he knew what crohns was and the guy who doesnt mind it just isnt for me...

ha ha - yeh Matthew mcConaughey just won't take no for an answer!! 
I had a really good fella for 5 yrs but we just broke up in May as he had to go and work in Indonesia and I couldn't go as I need good health care that you just can't get over there!
Since then...well guys just don't wanna deal with it I guess! They are all super keen until I have bad day - and then it all goes quiet! I think you also learn who your true friends are when you have something lik ethis affecting your life.
That's why I appreciate talking to people like yourself who actually know what its like and are going through it too!!! x |

thats so wierd - i was just thinking that earlier today - about knowing who your friends are. Some of mine are fine until im ill and then you dont hear from them for months at a time
i only hope they never feel this way |
