Hey,
I wanted to know if anyone is going to college or school and struggle dealing not only with stress and diet, but missing days due to doc. appointments, surgeries, or just missing because of flare-ups. How can I deal with all of that? |

Hi there!
I have the same problem as you. Right now i have to constantly see the doctor and its horrible having to constantly juggle your life because of Crohns.
Ive got the stress and diet bit nailed now because i eat loads of tuna (that and melon are the only things i can eat during a flare up) which is good for the brain and sleep more. I use to fight the fatigue to extremes but now i give in a tiny bit and have little naps throughout the day to boost my energy a bit. sometimes it works and sometimes i feel even more tired.
sorry that wasnt much help - just wanted to share that i know how you feel and it is really hard at times.
good luck though! |

| It is so hard, but you just have to stay positive. I'm also in college now and I have to limit the number of classes I an take, because of the circumstances. Last summer, I was taking a full load of school and working full-time. I had 3 bowel obstuctions and was hospitilized for over a month. After all the surgerys and recovery time, I had to drop all of the classes. My financial aid was taken away (because this wasn't the first time it happened.) so good luck, just take it day by day. It just might take a little longer than expected to get through those classes. |
